[General] How to root Galaxy tab? (Verizon)

How to root Galaxy tab? (Verizon)

Hello,

My dad has recently bought a new Galaxy Note tablet through Verizon, and has given me his old Galaxy tab. Since it is not my main device through Verizon, I decided to give rooting a try on it to help speed things up a bit by installing a custom ROM. I have rooted my Galaxy tab 2 7.0 (WiFI only edition) already, but I cannot find out how to root the Verizon tab 7. I have searched high and low all over Google and this site, and cannot find a successful rooting method. SuperOneClick seems to have a problem with the Verizon model, and several other methods that I researched did not work successfully on this device. I do not really want to brick it, since I still will be using it for other things, even though I own another new model. If someone knows of a way to root this device, please let me know.

Thanks.

Device Specs.

Samsung Galaxy tab 7 (SCH-I800) CDMA
Carrier: Verizon
Firmware version: 2.3.5
Kernel version: 2.6.35.7
